PLASMA PEN TECHNOLOGY

The Plasma Pen treatment handpiece converts electrical energy into electrostatic energy which is then transmitted to the applicator tip (the probe) by impulse. At the right distance from the skin, oxygen and nitrogen are mixed and the electrostatic energy produces an arc of plasma which discharges onto the skin.

HOW IT WORKS

Plasma fibroblast therapy works by stimulating the fibroblast cells to increase collagen production. Collagen is a structural protein and the most abundant protein in your body. It’s responsible for skin elasticity and stretchiness. A decline in collagen production may result in sagging skin and wrinkles.

During treatment, our aesthetician uses a pen-like device to discharge a high-frequency electric current to the targeted areas of your skin. The tip of the pen device doesn’t touch your skin. Instead, the pen is positioned in a way that allows the hot current to reach your skin. This current then creates micro-injuries in your skin’s dermal layer. As a natural healing response, the skin produces more collagen to mend these micro-injuries—the increased collagen production results in firmer skin.

To ensure you don’t feel pain during this procedure, our aesthetician applies numbing cream after cleansing your face. Once the plasma fibroblast therapy is completed, in about 30-60 minutes, our aesthetician applies a cooling gel to minimize any tingling or burning sensations.
